On August the 8th, the Vikings ran an article for a contest on Tailgating Rituals. There is one winner for each home game. Each winner's tailgating story and recipe will be featured in the Minnesota Vikings Playbook distributed to all fans at the Metrodome on game day in addition to receiving two field seats for the game in which the story appears. Earlier this year, the Minnesota Legislature passed new stadium bills for both the Twins and the Golden Gophers. We are happy for both teams and their fans, as they have been waiting as long as Viking fans for a new place to play. But this again puts the future of tailgating for Viking fans in limbo. More....

Time for Some Changes

My, how a few months seem to change things. It wasn’t all that long ago
that Viking fans had a renewed optimism for the coming season. We had
finally jettisoned Red McCombs and had a new owner in Zygmunt Wilf. We also
added some top free agents to an ailing defense that looked like it would be
top rated for a change. And on top of everything else, we were brining back
an offense that could put up points with the best of them.
